Realizing What Items We Cannot Live Without

It’s been raining something fierce here this weekend so We spent the time inside painting and prepping and donating and throwing out way more stuff than I’d like to admit. That’s the thing about this journey. Your forced to face your endless accumulation of “things”. Like apparently the Target dollar spot and I have a very unhealthy and co dependent relationship .

It’s been an interesting experience walking through our 1500 sq foot house and realizing what items are necessities and which ones are just wasting space. We are about to drop down to around 200 Sq ft and that drastic of an adjustment really puts things in perspective for you. I mean, do I really need 27 pairs of shoes? (Yes, that’s the real number of shoes in my closet prior to donating a bunch). What has surprised me the most though…is how easy it has been to get rid of masses amount of stuff that less than 6 months ago I felt was a necessity for this family.

A few of my favorite reminders I would use to help us let go of things were..

1. SOMETHING YOU USE CONSISTENTLY 2. 2. SOMETHING YOU TRULY LOVE (1).png

So if you were forced to choose 1-5 things (besides your family and pets) that you couldn’t live without what would you choose.
