Anyone that knows me knows that I love being a mom to 2 boys. I love them and all of their loud, messy, boyness that comes with them. BUT you also know that I just melt whenever anything sweet and pink and full of frillyness comes near me. I am an absolute sucker for long curls, big bows and anything to do with girly things. Maybe it's because I get so little of it at home either way when this little birthday girl showed up for her session with a full length PINK TUTU DRESS handmade by mom I was smitten (I even tried to convince mom to make one for me).
Once I had gotten all my ohhhs and ahhhs over her dress out of the way we got down to business. And by business I mean twirling and dancing and playing with bubbles. Because what does a little ballerina love most?? Dancing in bubbles. We were having so much fun that even little brother got in on the action. We spent the rest of the session exploring all the feathers and ducks that were near by. We even got squeeze in a little game of red light green light because that's the best thing to play when you are trying to get that perfect silhouette/sunset shot.
That's why I love the families that I photograph they know me and my style. My photo families want those honest and organic moments that tell their story and I am all too honored to capture them.
