I have found an interesting thing happening recently. I have been putting my camera down when I am with my family. I am not sure if it is because my business has been so busy recently that I am looking for a little downtime to be present with my family or if it is just because our home-life is just so busy recently that barely have time to catch my breath let alone grab my camera.( I mean, I seriously have like 3 iphone photos from my son's recent birthday. It's sad guys) So when we recently traveled to Grand Lake Colorado with my extended family I really tried to keep my camera close by so I remembered to pick it up once in a while.

I am learning to be kind to myself when it comes to my expectations to be able to "do it all" and even though I wish I captured a million more images of our hikes, boat rides, fishing trips, hot springs visits, hilarious nights of board games, and stops at the awesome Denver children's museum, I am happy that I was able to capture a few special shots and still be present and surrounded my loved ones.

One thing that this incredible trip taught me is that life is filled with beautiful moments but we have to stop and look around and pay attention to them because they are fleeting. Oh man, they are fleeting so very quickly.

Going forward, I foresee a few changes for Becci Ravera Photography. I am determined to find more work/life balance - if anyone has any tips I'd love to hear them- because I absolutely love that I get to be a photographer but I am will always be a mother and wife first...
